SuperGuide
SuperGuide is the only independent website for consumers on superannuation in Australia.
The site was started in January 2009 by Trish Power, author of many books on investing, including Superannuation for Dummies. Trish started SuperGuide because she passionately believes that Australians are entitled to independent information about something as important as financial security and retirement.
The site covers all aspects of superannuation - the basics for beginners, choosing a fund, how to boost your super, planning for retirement, tax considerations, how to access your super, through to SMSFs.
Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners
The Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners (AIOFP) is the nation’s largest and fastest growing association for independently owned practices.
The AIOFP was established in 1998 to differentiate the independently owned practices from the institutionally owned practices in the market place. Institutions owned around 60% of the advice market in 1998, this figure is now approaching an alarming 80%. The investing public, regulators and government need a robust healthy financial services market and the independently owned sector is an important element to give consumers choice and maintain balance.
